Cookie Policy
Effective July 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Daily Grind Media (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, what choices you have, and how to change them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember information between page views — for example, that you have already responded to a cookie notice. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by third-party services we use, such as Google Analytics.
2. The Cookies We Use
We use a single category of non-essential cookie: Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 helps us understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it. Unless you opt out, GA4 sets cookies in your browser — primarily _ga and GA4-specific identifiers (for example _ga_<stream-id>) — which distinguish one visitor from another and remember the start of a session. These typically expire up to two years after your last visit.
We do not run advertising cookies, we do not use GA4 for ad personalization, and we do not sell your data.
3. Your Consent & How to Opt Out
Analytics cookies are on by default when you visit this site, and you can turn them off at any time. We serve clients in Southern California, and under California law (CCPA/CPRA) analytics of this kind operates on an opt-out basis rather than requiring opt-in. We use Google Consent Mode v2 and keep advertising storage, ad personalization, and ad user data permanently denied — only analytics storage is enabled.
If you are visiting from the EU, UK, or another region with opt-in consent requirements, use any of the opt-out methods in section 4 below to stop analytics cookies before browsing further.
4. How to Change Your Choice
You can change your decision at any time:
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Google publishes a browser extension at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that stops Google Analytics from collecting data on any site you visit, including this one.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC). Browsers and extensions that send a GPC signal communicate your opt-out automatically. We honor it as a valid do-not-sell/share request.
- Block cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies globally or per site. Doing so also stops analytics cookies, though some sites may not function as intended.
- Use Google’s opt-out. Google provides a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all sites: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or the law change. The “Effective” date above reflects the latest revision.
